Secrets of the Heart, Madlyn Fafard

The blurb about the book, conveys the idea that it is a love story, but it is in fact more than a love story, it takes you to some of what life was like in the 1940's, during the war.  It is a spiritual story, that conveys the patriotism of the time.

My second book, which is nearing completion is much more descriptive of life in the era of the 2nd World War.  It is a my memoire of growing up in Framingham, Mass., during that period.

I remember that there was a local group from Natick, Mass., that played at the Maridor in Framingham, they did a rendition of this song that I loved.   Every weekend Byron Sculos, one of the owners would have a jam session after hours at his house, often including visiting stars playing in the area, like Carousel, or Ceasars Palace.

Wow! did you read the start of this book in the New York Times, May 15 , Book Review.  It sizzles.  I am in a stagnant period, trying to finish up some factual reading, finishing up my own 2nd book, about growing up during the  Second World War, and trying to keep up with newly published books.  Take a look here.
